Hi!   I am Roshan...  Thought I would tell you a little about myself.....

"Roshan" is the signature that I use to sign my works of art.  It is an anagram of Sharon. A native of Texas, I was born in Burkburnett to an oil field laborer and a housewife.  I reside in Vernon and farm alfalfa hay with my husband.  I was raised in the country; therefore I'm an outdoor lover by nature.  I enjoy exercising my quarter horse "Sunny" and flying airplanes.   I won the honor of "First Lady in l985" at the Texas Ranch Roundup.  I'm active in my church and sing "specials" occasionally.

I'm a natural and self taught artist.  I use powdered shavings of pastel chalk that are applied with my finger tips.  I expand and blend the pastel with various materials and different types of erasers to achieve the realistic image.  I portray more than a person's image.  The spirit and heritage of the American Indian is revealed in each painting of my collection.  I bring them to life in a sanguine pastel that is reminiscent of the times in which they lived...
